Abdollah Zakeri is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Houston, specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. His academic journey, which began in Iran at the University of Birjand and continued at Shahrood University of Technology, laid a strong foundation for his research. As of Spring 2023, he is a research assistant in Computational biology & medicine laboratory (CBML). Abdollah’s passion for technology has driven him to work on innovative projects, including biometric authentication and AI-driven healthcare solutions. He has developed multi-modal AI systems and advanced computer vision models. His current research focuses simultaneously on tackling two distinct projects: first, developing a computer vision system for an automated mushroom harvesting robot, enhancing efficiency and precision in smart agricultural practices. Second, he is crafting a multi-modal AI model aimed at assessing the risk of learning disabilities in children, a project that stands to revolutionize early intervention strategies and support.
